A static QR code stores its destination directly in the pattern. It does not depend on a hosted redirect, so the code itself remains usable as long as the encoded destination remains valid.
Use SVG for print and large-format designs. Use PNG for documents, social posts, and other raster workflows. Always test the downloaded code with multiple devices before printing it at scale.
